Advent is one of my favorite seasons. I treasure the reminder to be intentional about my time with God. I love how Advent just pushes me closer to Jesus. This 2023 Christmas season feels like it has gotten a faster start than ever. Maybe it’s because I have more kids this Christmas, so there are more end of year school programs, teacher’s gifts to buy, dance recitals, basketball games, end of the quarter tests, and birthdays to coordinate. I don’t know, but I am feeling frazzled earlier than I normally do.
Don’t let this Advent season come and go without it pushing you closer in your relationship with Jesus.
That’s why I am thankful for Advent and the reminder to slow it down. In between all of the places to go, gifts to buy, memories to plan, and decorations I need the reminder to focus on what really matters these last few weeks of 2023 – Jesus!
Advent is a season of reflection, preparation, and expectation to the true gift that we’re celebrating. Look back at our November 2022 post if you’re looking for a better understanding on what is Advent.
See the photos above for some scriptures to dig into during this season. Don’t let this Advent season come and go without it pushing you closer in your relationship with Jesus.

I truly appreciated the work you’ve put forth here. The sketch is tasteful, your authored material stylish, yet you appear to have developed some nervousness regarding what you intend to deliver next. Rest assured, I’ll return more regularly, much like I’ve done almost constantly, should you maintain this upward trajectory.
