I don’t know about you, but I have become enthralled with podcasts. Maybe it’s because I spend so much time in my car… or in emails.
Here are a few of my favorites and if you have any to share with me – please do!
All of these are linked to Apple Podcasts, but I’m sure you can find most of them on Spotify or many other podcast platforms.
- That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs: I really have no idea how I found Annie (we are on a first name basis) or how long I have been listening, but I love her. She has informed so much of my to-read list. Annie hosts a Christian based podcasts where she interviews many others in the faith. She loves to laugh and she asks really great questions.
- Dare to Be: I have been in love with Natalie Grant’s music for so long you might not believe I’m 28 anymore. I only recently discovered she has a podcasts and the first episode I listened to had me posting quotes in the family chat. Through this podcast I got to meet Charlotte Gambill who is just pure fire. Plus these are short and full of scripture and real encouragement.
- Southside Rabbi: first of all KB is my favorite Christian rapper. Period. So, to hear him and Ameen chop it up in real-talk, it’s the chef’s kiss. They deep dive into some real topics, with some hard Biblical truth. This one can get pretty deep and heavy but it’s one of my favorites.
- Bible Stories with Brianda: here is a disclaimer, she isn’t safe for work – or the kids. She curses, a lot. Yet, what I love about her is how real she makes the Bible. She breaks it down so much my six year old can follow. I’m very ashamed to say my six year old has listened, but she gets Brianda. She is going through the Bible, start to finish.
- She Reads Truth: how do I explain how much I have learned from these ladies? I don’t even know where to begin, and I love their heart of seeing women in the Word everyday. Plus, you can find them on Annie F. Downs’ podcast each Advent and Lent.
I think five is enough for one post. For me I want to use my podcast time either learning about Jesus or laughing, so that’s what you’re going to get from me. I’m a bit of a nerd.
